Good first box experience

I got the first monthly Ratty Box for my two boys, Pip and Squeak, and it was pretty cool. The Hammock was a big hit, they instantly started nestling in it. The treats seemed healthy, they munched those down no problem. Shipping took about 6 days to get here in California, which was fine. Overall, a good experience and the rats seemed happy with their new stuff. Might keep the subscription going for a bit.

Decent rat supplies

Bought a 3 Month Subscription Plan. Items were as described. Treats and toys were good. Shipping was consistent. No issues.

Good value on a longer plan

I was looking for something to keep my rat, Remy, entertained without spending a fortune every month. The 6 Month Subscription Plan seemed like the best deal per box. I saved a decent amount compared to paying month-to-month, which was a big plus for my budget. The first box arrived with a nice climbing rope and some chew toys, which Remy loved. It felt like a good investment for keeping him happy and providing new enrichment regularly. Definitely worth it for the savings.

Mostly good, one small issue

I decided to try the 12 Month Subscription Plan since I have three rats and wanted a steady supply of new things for them. The variety in the boxes has been pretty good overall; they get excited when a new one arrives. The quality of the Rat Hammocks and Foraging Toys has been solid. My only minor complaint is that one month, the 'healthy rat snacks' seemed a bit repetitive from a previous box. It wasn't a huge deal, but I was hoping for more unique items each time. Delivery has always been reliable, usually arriving around the 15th of the month. Customer service was quick when I had a question about changing my shipping address once. So, a positive experience mostly, just a tiny bit more variety in treats would be perfect.

If I sign up now, when would my first box actually ship? Trying to time it so my rats don't run out of toys.

A Alex 2 weeks ago
They usually ship around the middle of the month, like the 15th-20th. So if you order now, it'll probably be the next month's box.

Mine always ships out pretty consistently around the third week of the month. You'll get an email with tracking once it goes out.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a 3-month subscription for my two little ratties. Will one box be enough for both of them, or should I double up?

P Phil 1 month ago
Nah, one box is usually fine for a couple of rats. They get a good variety of stuff. Mine share everything.

Yeah, I have three and they're usually good with one box. Unless you have super destructive chewers, you should be set.

I saw something about a first box discount somewhere. Are there any active codes right now for new subscriptions?

E Elena Osei 1 month ago
I think if you sign up for their newsletter, they usually send you a code for 10% or 15% off your first box. That's how I got mine.

Yeah, I used one last month. Just google 'The Ratty Box discount code' and you'll probably find a few. They often have new subscriber deals.

How do these boxes compare to, say, RatPak or Boggle Box? Are the toys better quality here?

A Anna Torres 1 month ago
I've tried Boggle Box before and found The Ratty Box has better enrichment stuff, less just basic chew sticks. The hammocks are usually pretty solid too.

The treats here seem healthier, less sugary junk. Quality-wise, I'd say it's on par or a bit better than RatPak, especially for the foraging toys.
